Hello, well it looks like summer has ended here in the Midlands, it's very wet and grey out there today and we were meant to be doing some work in the garden, but that's got put on hold because of the rain, so I took advantage of the change in our plans and had a very relaxed couple of hours crafting.
I bought these little MDF letters a few weeks ago from The Works for a very reasonable 99p, bargain!
after adding lots of layers of paint and ink, I aged and distressed the letters by sanding and dry brushing acrylic paints onto the edges. I then wanted some added detail so I pulled out some stamps and a piece of sequin waste to use as a stencil.
I'm quite pleased with how they've turned out, and will be finding a home for them in my lounge, which just so happens to be decorated in these colours, lucky that ;-)
Lovely Deb, really beautiful colours and distressing and the butterflies are the perfect finishing touch!
